Acoustica MP3 CD Burner is CD burning software with a quick setup process, and it burns audio CDs with precision. The software is a bit complicated for those unfamiliar with the ins and outs of CD burning applications, but it's a good option for veterans.
Acoustica's most outstanding feature is its ability to perform a test burn of a disc. This feature allows you to detect any errors before burning files to a CD, saving you valuable time and resources that would otherwise go to waste if you burned a CD with faulty information.
We were surprised to find the program does not burn data discs; every program we reviewed had this ability. However, if you are only burning audio CDs, this program works just as well or better than the other products on our top 10 list.
In our tests, it took this program a little more than three minutes to burn a new disc. While it isn't the fastest CD burner we reviewed, this is still a respectable burn time.
We had some difficulty understanding the application's available options from the main screen: The burning process is not straightforward. For example, to make a proper burn, you should be aware that the top navigation buttons are not in sequential order.
