Excel Calculation Options Manual
Excel Macro Manual Calculation Free
Basically I have one worksheet in my workbook for which I need to have automatic calculation turned on, but if I have it turned on across all worksheets it massively slows me down during data entry. Unfortunately the Calculation Options in the Formulas ribbon only seems to be able to turn it on or off across the entire workbook. Is there a hidden advanced option or a way to use VBA to make it happen at the worksheet level?
Ideal Solution: Automatic calculation is always turned on for whatever worksheet is active, while being turned off for all inactive worksheets. This way I never need to remember to manually run the formulas in the other worksheets after I've added new data to my main worksheet...those worksheets automatically update themselves as soon as I open them.
As far as I know, if you open an Excel file and set the calculation mode to Automatic, then open another Excel file that has been saved in Manual mode, it will NOT change to Automatic mode. Conversely, if you open an Excel file that has been saved in Manual mode, then open another Excel file saved in Automatic mode, it will CHANGE to Manual mode.
Acceptable Solution: Automatic calculation is always on in the worksheet where I need it, and always off in the others, and I just have to remember to hit F9 when I'm done adding new data.
